Greenville is a practical first market inside South Carolina because the city-county system makes it easier to identify the building and zoning contacts you need before committing to a lot. As of March 2026, the most realistic path is still a code-built tiny home on a foundation or an accessory-housing concept that can pass local review, not a THOW casually parked as a dwelling.
